In the World Simulation, students make decisions about a world they build. The simulation gives students problem-solving alternatives and invites interaction and creativity. Students continually see similarities between the simulated world they are creating and the real world they are living in. Spies, diplomats, leaders, and citizens function within and among countries until ultimately one country controls the world. In the process, alliances are broken, balances of power are disturbed, and students gain insight into the organization and workings of world politics.
