Today the Law and Advocacy students were afforded the amazing opportunity to hear from Senior Judge Reggie Walton, a Washington, D.C. District Court judge. Senior Judge Walton has also served as a judge of the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, and prior to being appointed as a judge, he practiced law for seven years specializing in criminal law as a public defender and federal prosecutor. After he spoke to the students, they were able to ask him questions about his time practicing law, as well as being a judge. They also discussed with him how the practice of law relates to the specific issues currently facing the world. The students were inspired by his passion and expertise, and took important lessons about law and life away from their time with Senior Judge Walton!
